Molokai Hou via Princess

My vessel Is called Molokai Princess but that is def a misnomer. I can remember a maiden voyage on her when she was new, but even then travelling aboard her was never fit for a princess. Its a challenge on your body crossing the channel.

Grandma made Betty an extra fancy barf bag situation. I am sonpleased to say we never had the occassion to use it. I got Betty to sleep (reluctantly) mid channel, but not before she had already given me a headache.

Sleepy town at Lahaina Harbor

Its a quiet Lahaina afternoon. Betty is restless waiting for grandma cindy to meet us at the harbor. I'm just hoping for an uneventful trip on the ferry that has a vomit rocket history. I hear though that the air con has upgraded which hopefully makes up for the kapakai seats in the cabin.

I love this town. Lahaina Princess just got their dinner cruise on. Enjoy!

Lunch from Kings the new chinese restaurant

King's BBQ and Chinese restaurant just opened at 197 N. Market St. In Wailuku 808-242-8848.

They open at 6:00 am till 9:30 pm, their breakfast seems very reasonable, even offering a $2.99 special which is corned beef hash, 2 eggs, and a scoop of rice.

We tried the katsu mini for $4.99 and it was plentiful and tasty. The traditional wontons $3.99 (8) are rectangle but delicious. The sweet sour sauce is great too.

Ham and pate on croissant from Bale is divine

I adore the sandwiches at Bale. French vietnamese cuisine served fast and cheap. Its exotic, full of veggies, and fresh herbs, and chic. I love ham and pate on croissant. The sandwich has daikon, carrots, and cilantro. Today i asked for the add on of cucumber. Its crisp and full of a melding of flavor. Its a divine lunch.

Kenui says my fried rice rocks

Honestly I tried selfishly to get him to say that my fried rice is better than his dad's. Of course he refused but did say that my fried rice is "really good." (and finished a huge bowl). I pulled out all the stops, serving in a molded shape and garnishing itbwith sesame seeds. I will take that as a compliment from a fifteen year old.

He did also say its been a while since his dad made him fried rice. I am reading between the lines here but i know that meant that mine is definitely better however male bonding was over-riding his ability to admit my superiority.

My Fried rice is so nice

According to my happy taster its thumbs up on tonight's fried rice. Its one of my favorite things to make, and on the most requested list.

Every time I make it its different. This time it was simple short grain white rice, scrambled egg, spam, a bag of frozen mixed veggies with corn, green beans, and peas. Salt and pepper, sesame seed and green onion season and garnish the dish.

I always make a huge batch and wish there were more leftovers. It looks like this night won't be any different.
